Hamburg is easy to reach from all directions and by all means of transportation. Hamburg airport is located in the city zone and only 20 minutes from the city centre, to Hamburg-Harburg it takes about 40 minutes by taxi or 1 hour by public transportation.

Every hour there is a Deutsche Bahn AG connection between Hamburg and all the major cities of Central and Northern Europe. All the long-distance trains stop at the main station (Hauptbahnhof ), quite a lot of them also at the Hamburg-Harburg station.

You can reach Hamburg by car or bus via a total of five autobahns and many main roads.

The rates include 19% Value Added Tax (VAT)

The registration fees include

• the admission to the presentations of both, the CFB9 conference and the VGB Workshop, and the exhibition

• a printed proceedings book (not included in the students rate) and the proceedings on CD

• 4 lunch tickets for lunch in the students restaurant (Mensa) of the Hamburg University of Technology

• hot and cold beverages and snacks during coffee breaks

• the Welcome dinner on Tuesday (invitation by Foster Wheeler)

• evening cruise on the river Elbe and Conference Dinner on Thursday evening (invitation by Vattenfall Europe New Energy GmbH, Hamburg)

• Farewell Dinner on Friday evening

• a four-days ticket for using the public transport system in Hamburg (HVV) during the Conference

• one of the two technical tours offered

Simultaneous translation of the lectures and discussions of the VGB Workshop will be provided. We thank Alstom Power for financing of this service.

Accompanying guests are also welcome. A social program in parallel to the scientific sessions will be organized. The registration fee for accompanying persons is 100 €. It includes the lunch tickets and the dinners on Tuesday, Thursday and Friday evening. The guest registration does not include the admittance to the scientific program.

On-line registration will be open until May 10, 2008. Thereafter an on-site registration  will be possible.

Cancellation and Refunds
EUR 30 administrative costs will be charged for each cancellation made before April 20, 2008. Thereafter 80% of the registration fee will be invoiced, however in this case the CD-ROM and the proceedings book will be sent. Cancellation needs to be made in writing (letter, fax or e-mail).
