These are in the planning process, tender phase or already under construction. Experience from implemented and under construction power-station projects showed deficiencies in quality which have to be absolutely avoided in the forthcoming and current projects. To increase quality in the extensive sense, VGB will be award the "VGB Quality Award" meanwhile for the sixth time. All regular VGB members are welcome submit nominations until August 9, 2011. Energy sources like gas, hard coal, lignite, wind, water, waste etc. are considered. Based on the list, the planned total output (MW) and the portions of the sources of energy (MW) can be determined. Due to political and economic decisions, the list lives with further planning measures and with cancellations. EnBW gained the Baltic 1 project in March 2008. The symbolic foundation stone was laid in spring 2010. Almost three years after the start 21 wind power plants and the substation platform have been installed in the Baltic Sea; 16 kilometres from the Mecklenburg-Vorpommern coastline. Each turbine has an installed capacity of 2.3 MW; together they achieve 48.3 MW. The construction of the six times larger offshore windfarm project EnBW Baltic 2 will probably start in 2012.

The conference is a forum for energy utilities and operators of industrial power plants. Operating experience will be discussed and technical developments in the field of power plant chemistry will be presented.
