Guidelines to be Met by Authors Wishing to Publish Technical Papers in VGB PowerTech

We would like to ask the authors to adhere to the following:

1. We need a manuscript in the German or English language (text and maybe figures) in DOC- or RTF format (e.g. generated in Microsoft Word®).
   The language of publication is to be agreed upon with the editorial office prior to submission.
   The text has to be clearly structured comprising introduction (problem description), main part and abstract. An abstract in the German and English language must stand in front of the paper, each comprising 1,000 to 1,500 characters (including blanks). The text should comprise a minimum scope of 13,000 characters (without abstract) and a maximum scope of 35,000 characters (including blanks).
   The paper should not be supported by more than eight figures.
   Please make sure to mention company names and product designations – if required at all – only in the introduction and abstract of your paper, however, not more than three times per paper.
   The paper has to be unambiguously identified as technical paper.
   (Contribution to new findings in the technical/scientific/economic field, no advertising)
2. Please list on the first page of your manuscript below the headline of your paper all authors and their academic titles (completely written) with first name and surname, company, position and location/country.
3. Please insert no figures and tables in the continuous text, but make a corresponding reference, i.e. Figure 1 and/or Table 1.
   Please list the captions of figures and tables separately at the end of your paper.
4. For the ready-for-press-processing of your figures and photos we either need the originals as super glossy finish print (no ink-jet printouts), with a minimum size of 10 X 15 cm (black and white, colour, cf. also item 5) or in digital form as separate file in original format.
5. Publication in VGB PowerTech is free of charge for the authors. However, coloured publications are possible, if the author covers the extra cost for coloured figures. Such cost can only be determined after receipt of the manuscript.
6. The editorial office of VGB PowerTech will decide on the acceptance of a manuscript after receipt of the complete documents. The contact e-mail address for technical papers is: pt@vgb.org
7. The author accepts the conditions of publication when submitting the paper. The author affirms that the paper has not been submitted to any third party for publication and that the paper had not been published before and that no copyrights of third persons are infringed. In this case, the author is obliged to inform the editorial office of VGB PowerTech correspondingly.
