Tasks
The Chief Executive Officers of the nuclear power plants of the VGB members are collated in this Technical Committee. As such, represented are nuclear power plants from Belgium, Germany, Hungary, Finland, France, Netherlands, Russia, Sweden and Switzerland.
Main topics are the practical exchange of operating experience and co-ordination of joint actions, e.g. from the areas of organisation, management, quality assurance, training, radiation protection, planning of revisions and public relations.
Service
Furthermore, the committee acts as interface to international organisations like the World Association of Nuclear Operators WANO, the OECD/ Nuclear Energy Agency NEA and the International Atomic Energy Agency IAEA in Vienna.
Projects
The committee is regularly co-ordinating bilateral contacts with US nuclear power plant operators and with nuclear power plant operators from Eastern Europe, the latter also in the frame of European Commission projects.
Nuclear Power Plants
