Tasks

• Coordination of the NPP activities within the nuclear safety committee (KTA) (consisting of NPPs, authorities, NPP manufacturer FANP, TUEV/independent inspector). Compiling of results out of KTA sub-committees (every time after a certain KTA rule has been circulating amongst the utilities for being evaluated).
• Preparation of the annual meeting of the nuclear safety committee, i. e. the existing about 90 KTA rules are regularly called into question from time to time (after 5 years) if they are still according to the state of the art.
• Interface to other VGB working panels ("Quality Management in NPPs", "Materials", "Radiation Protection" etc.).
• Assistance in establishing the "new" KTA-200-rule.

Other special activities

• Processing and checking the relevance of standards, draft standards and standard projects of the standard committee (NMP) 720 for the utilites.
