PSA Coordinators

The topics of the PSA working panel activities are:

• Co-ordination of the development and the management of data bases for the application in PSA
• Exchange of experiences on methodology, compilation and results of different kinds of PSA (e. g. power-PSA, shutdown-PSA, fire-PSA) in nuclear power plants
• Elaboration of common statements
• International  exchange of experiences (e. g. co-operation with Nordic PSA Group)
• Support of international research projects (e. g. ICDE, OECD-FIRE, ASAMPSA2 )

For the purpose of generation of PSA input data different databases are operated:

• Centralized Reliability and Events Database ( ZEDB )
• Development of Database about Common Cause Failure (CCF)

and additional Research Projects are performed:

• Evaluation of characteristic values for the purpose of consideration of operational monitoring processes in the reliability data for plant components (Status: finished)
• Evaluation of methods for the generation of leakage and break frequentness of pipes and adjustment to the conditions at NPP with PWR (2nd generation) (Status: finished)
• Concept for assessing human errors in technical systems (Status: VGB instruction sheet M122 (German edition) in revision)
