Organisation und Statutes

The VGB Research Foundation is a foundation of German private law and pursues solely non-profit purposes.

• The Board of Directors of the foundation and the curatorship are the organs.
• The chairman of VGB PowerTech is also the chairman of the Board of Directors of the foundation.
• The curatorship consists of ten members:
• the chairman of VGB,
• the first deputy chairman of VGB,
• the second deputy chairman of VGB,
• the chairman of the Technical Advisory Board,
• the chairman of the Scientific Advisory Board,
• two representatives of the manufacturing industry in the field of power and heat generation,
• three representatives of science in the field of power and heat generation.
• The Executive Managing Director of VGB is in charge of the management of the foundation in personnel union.
• VGB manages the administration of the foundation.

The current chairman of the curatorship of the VGB Research Foundation is Dr. Gerd Jäger, the Executive Managing Director is Dr. Karl A. Theis.

Dr. Ludger Mohrbach is responsible for the co-ordination of research and development .
