Combustion adjustments do contribute towards both efficiency improvement of steam generators and thus  CO2-reduction and low-pollution combustion. Decisive pre-conditions are milling in accordance with fuel quality  and even fuel distribution among the individual burners.
The instruction sheet mentions methods for coal dust distribution measuring and describes measuring  principle, -realisation and evaluation based on the pendulum probe working as per the zero-pressure principle. Measures for operation and maintenance can be deviated from the measuring results of fuel distribution and  -comminution. This leads to improvement of plant availability and last but not least reduction of the operating  costs.
The instruction sheet describes experience gained with this measuring principle. Further experience should be addressed to VGB Headquarters. Chapters marked with batons indicate agreements to be made between the parties of the contract. VGB is not in a position to guarantee for the factual correctness. Rights under patent law  and other protective laws have to be clarified by the user on his own responsibility. The instruction sheet has  been elaborated within the VGB Technical Committee "Quality Management and European Rules and  Regulations” by the members of the Working Panel "Acceptance and Control Tests”.
