On the basis of the co-operation between Eurelectric and VGB it was decided to merge data collection for the availability and unavailibility of power plants. Since 2008 the data of Eurelectrc´s TherPerf-Report and VGB´s KISSY-Report are presented in one common report.
The performance indicators of thermal power plants are collected uniformly according to the definitions of the VGB/VDEW Guideline "Availability of Thermal Power Plants" Basics and Determination as well as the VGB Guideline "Analysis of Unavailability of Thermal Power Plants" and the VGB event-criterion-key-system (EMS). The data are collected and recorded with the new VGB Power Plant Information System "KISSY". The evaluation at hand about the availability of thermal power plants covers the operating period 1998 to 2007 with operating data of a total of 392 power plant units. The presentation considers all data that were passed on by VGB member companies online into the KISSY database until 30th July 2008 for the above-mentioned operating period.
The current report provides performance indicators for 638 power plant units. All data were considered that had been fed into KISSY online up to 31 th of May 2012 for the
period under review, i.e. until the end of 2011.
