> Franz Bauer Appointed Second Executive Managing Director of VGB PowerTech e.V. <

Erland Christensen, VGB Executive Managing Director, has to take extended medical leave to undergo treatment. The VGB Board wants to secure VGB's ability to act during this terminable period. Therefore, the VGB Board appointed according to its statutes Dr Franz Bauer as second VGB Executive Managing Director with effect as of March 1, 2012.

VGB's annual Conference "Chemistry in Power Plants" will take place in Hamburg/Germany on October 24/25, 2012. The conference is a forum for energy utilities and operators of industrial power plants. Operating experience will be discussed and technical developments in the field of power plant chemistry will be presented.
