Management and Staff of VGB PowerTech e.V., VGB Research Foundation and VGB PowerTech Service GmbH would like to thank you for the good co-operation in this year and wish you a Merry Christmas and a Successful New Year.
The aim of this project is to develop a reference concept for a solar hybrid combined cycle power plant in the output range up to 20 MW. The power plant is characterized by the integration of high temperature solar heat into a gas turbine process. The feed-in of solar heat into the gas turbine is carried out between compressor outlet and combustor inlet of the gas turbine. The study will be carried out in close co-operation between MAN Diesel & Turbo SE, Dresden University of Technology, DLR (German National Research Center for Aeronautics and Space) and VGB in the timeframe between November 1, 2011 and October 31, 2014.

Given the reason we have to draw your attention to the fact that in relation with the VGB Congress and other VGB conferences a company called "Expo Guide" approached potential exhibitors in order to sell them an entry into a directory of exhibitors issued by Expo Guide.
We do clearly state that VGB did not charge Expo Guide with the edition of this directory of exhibitors, and there is no business relation between VGB and Expo Guide beyond this matter.
The next edition of the VGB Newsletter will be published on February 8, 2012.
The new VGB survey on levelized cost of electricity with investment and operation cost figures 2011 is released. It is based on an extensive enquiry and consultation with our members from generators and suppliers. The survey covers thermal power plants and renewables including future trends.
The VGB survey is available for download:
