700 °C Power Plant Conference The European project AD700 (Advanced 700 °C PF Power Plant) organises a final conference in Milan end of October 2005. The topics are the design and materials for boiler and turbine. An economic analysis of the 700 °C Power Plant will be presented as well as the continuation of AD700 within the EU project COMTES700. 1) Updated Version of BREF "Large Combustion Plants"

The IPPC bureau in Sevilla has published an updated version (May 2005) of the BREF "Large Combustion Plants". The IPPC has included the changes regarding the previous draft discussed and approved at the IEF. The final "interservice consultation" will take place within the coming weeks. 2) Meeting of the VGB European TC "Environment"

The VGB European Technical Committee Environment met on its spring meeting in Helsinki and dealt with the impacts of the European environmental protection legislation on power plant operation of the EU countries represented in the committee.
