Meanwhile, various mercury-solid analysers are available on the market. The VGB Working Panel "Analytics" has therefore decided to carry out a round-robin test on the determination of mercury in coals in the second half of this year. Interested parties may register until June 16, 2014.

The VGB Research Foundation supported students' attendance at the VGB conference electrical engineering, C&I and IT in power plants (KELI 2014). Special lectures as well as personal talks with professionals were offered exclusively to the 70 students, who participated in the conference from May 6-8, 2014, in Landshut, Germany.
