Under the heading "Power Generation in Europe" the recently published report deals with the topic of quality in the construction of new power plants. Other chapters present results of VGB's activities, power plant statistics as well as the current association structure.

> List of New Power Plants in Europe: Update October 2010 <
The list New Power Plants comprises power plants in planning and under construction in Europe. Energy sources like gas, hard coal, lignite, wind, water, waste etc. are considered. Based on the list, the planned total output (MW) and the portions of the sources of energy (MW) can be determined. Due to political and economic decisions, the list lives with further planning measures and with cancellations.

3) VGB-TW103 Ae "Analysis of Unavailability of Thermal Power Plants"
The Technical-scientific Report "Analysis of Unavailability of Thermal Power Plants" for the operation decade 2000-2009 (pdf file) is available in the German and English languages. The report provides information about weak points of equipment and power plant systems. VGB is analysing the annual unavailability (UA analysis) in order to identify the root causes, i.e. those systems causing unavailability, to be able to upgrade such weak equipment. The systems and equipment to be analysed are specified according to the KKS power plant identification system. Receive free of charge an outline of the report via e-mail:
