Due to the current situation with COVID-19 and the decision of restricting physical meetings, we have decided to postpone the VGB Expert Event "Maintenance of Wind Power Plants".
The new date of the conference - probably in autumn 2020 - will be announced as soon as possible. Please note that the conference venue will remain the same.
The main topics of the VGB conference "Maintenance of Wind Power Plants" will deal with the reduction of installation and operating costs of wind power plants. The consistent further development of system technology, in particular the optimisation of maintenance strategies will play a decisive role in the future in order to increase technical availability and thus economic efficiency of the appropriate systems.
Wind turbines are usually designed for 20 years of operation. For many wind turbines it‘s technically possible to continue operating beyond the design lifetime. The associated challenges and possibilities will be presented by different market players. Several presentations will focus on operational optimisation measures of wind power plants and wind farms. The combination of wind power plants with storage systems will also be discussed.
The conference will mainly highlight the following topics:

- Service Optimization / Digitalization
- Bird Control For Wind Farms
- Wind Turbine Obstruction Light Control
- Storage Systems
The programme will leave enough time for extensive discussions and answering your questions.
The conference addresses operators of wind power plants and all persons and institutions that are directly or indirectly involved in the installation or operation of wind power plants.
