The 4th in this series of topical conferences on clean coal technologies will be held in Dresden/Germany, from May 18-21, 2009, in conjunction with the 3rd International Freiberg Conference on IGCC and XtL Technologies. The conference will be held with the support of the German Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology, the International Energy Agency (IEA), IEA Clean Coal Centre, and the Dresden and Freiberg Technical Universities. VGB cooperates with IEA Clean Coal Centre since 2004 and supports the activities of clean coal technologies.

The past success of this instruction sheet gave cause for an advancement and adjustment to the today's basic conditions. The legislations changes, in particular the harmonization of the European sets of rules, in addition, the innovations in the commercial law make adjustments in the text necessary. Also the efforts toward a CO2-compensation refer today the fuel garbage as at least partial CO2-neutral energy source. The requirements of the incineration during the interpretation must be considered in order to avoid selecting parameters in confidence on the technical progress, which is suitable for conventional fuels only. The objective of the past instruction sheet, a clarification of the terms and definition of the qualities which can be specified contractually, are to be maintained.
