> New Structure of the VGB Closed User Groups < The new structure of VGB’s "Closed User Groups" is now online. The structure is arranged according VGB’s Organization Chart. By selecting the responsible Competence Centre (CC1, CC2, CC3, CC4) and the assigned Committee and Sub-Committee access is granted as usual by putting in the user data.

> List of New Power Plants in Europe: Update August 2009 < The list New Power Plants comprises power plants in planning and under construction in Europe. Energy sources like gas, hard coal, lignite, wind, water, waste etc. are considered. Based on the list, the planned total output (MW) and the portions of the sources of energy (MW) can be determined. Due to political and economic decisions, the list lives with further planning measures and with cancellations. The current list is available in the member area for download:

1) Offshore Wind Power from the North Sea

For the first time, offshore wind power flows from the North Sea to the German power grid: The consortium of EWE, E.ON and Vattenfall has now successfully started up and adjusted for the regular electricity generation the first three of a total of twelve wind turbines at the alpha ventus wind farm.
