Biogas

Biogas has the potential to play a key role in the conversion of the energy system. Especially upgrading of raw biogas to natural gas quality and feeding it into the natural gas grid makes a significant storage potential accessible.

In this context VGB has provided a forum particularly for biogas plant owners and operators, as well as equipment and service providers to exchange information, to share ideas relating to the technical and environmental best practices on operations and aspects of biogas projects maintenance, safety and security. In contrast to other biogas associations the focus lies on larger biogas plants, preferentially with biogas upgrading technology.
