2nd European VGB Workshop "Health, Safety, Environment at Offshore Wind Parks"
The next European VGB Workshop "Health, Safety, Environment at Offshore Wind Parks" will take place in Hamburg/Germany on the February 24, 2011.
Offshore wind plays a significant role in the National Renewable Action plans. A targeted growth rate from a current installed capacity of 2,400 MW to about 40,000 MW in 2020 means 3,600 MW new installed capacity every year or 2 large 5 MW turbines every day.
Large investments are necessary and require a profound HSE organization to drive the offshore wind development activities in an efficient and sustainable manner.
This Offshore wind workshop will give a detailed overview about the current health, safety and environmental challenges in the offshore wind industry. The speakers will present their personal experiences and give a reflection to the upcoming developments and regulations from the various associations and authorities in different countries.
Participation is recommended for health, safety and environmental experts in the offshore wind industry as well as for project management and employees from authorization bodies.
