The meeting place of international power plant chemistry
The presentation of the concept of a chemical loop combustion for coal is the start of VGB´s 54th Chemistry Conference. Furthermore, new and current aspects of water treatment for the water-steam cycle will be presented, where the autonomous driving of the DI plant will be presented in detail. The reduction of failure alarms in water chemistry and their reductions will be discussed in this context. For corrosion protection in the water-steam cycle, various options are discussed again. In addition, the derivation of reliable findings from online analytics is presented.
In the field of cooling water systems, the problem and the elimination of legionella formation will be discussed. The use of activated carbons for water treatment but also for SO2 removal is presented.
Measures for the removal of Cs and Sr as well as for the online monitoring of boric acid are presented in the field of nuclear reactor chemistry.
