VGB KELI Conference 2016

 

Every two years VGB PowerTech arranges a Technical Conference on Electrical Engineering, C&I and IT. Operators and planners of all types of generation plants like conventional, nuclear and hydro power as well as renewable, decentralised and industrial generation are addressed. Current questions and solutions can be presented in lectures and discussed with international experts from operators, manufacturers, insurers, authorities and universities.

KELI 2016 will also be a platform to discuss the technical challenges caused by the current energy policy. Main topics will be:

  • The integration of renewable power generation into the grid (system stability, operation management (dispatch), market models).
  • The requirements on the tasks for Electrical Engineering, C&I and ITfor all types of power generation.
Lectures and discussions with the focus on the following topics were offered:
  • Optimized operation of generation plants in the changed grid and market situation
  • Technical developments in the Electrical, I&C and IT Engineering
  • Operation, maintenance, exchange, monitoring, tests, lifecycle concepts
  • System services, reconstruction of the grid after a blackout
  • New regulatory framework conditions and their consequences
  • The new Information Security Law: requirements, consequences and measures

The presentations will be accompanied by an extensive exhibition of manufacturers and an attractive supporting program, which will offer the best possible conditions for establishing and extending business and personal contacts.

A forum will once again be organized for the young engineers of tomorrow, with sponsored travel, accommodation, board and conference documents for students.
