VGB Conference "Maintenance in Power Plants 2016" with Technical Exhibition

The Energiewende in Germany has dramatic impacts on the conventional power plants by the massive expansion of renewable energies. Not only reduced full load operational hours but also frequent startup and shutdowns and steep loading ramps are new requirements for the existing power plants. Therewith associated is the effect of an increased life time consumption.

At the same time the revenues achievable on the market are in steep descent, the budgets for maintenance are becoming shorter. Sometimes a sustainable maintenance is no more possible.

This conference aims to take the unfortunate trend into account and highlight how the operators respond to these challenges.

In two panel discussions with the experts from the energy sector, the topic will be deepened.

But also the traditional topics should not be shortened. Interesting technologies and damages will be reported and we will be informed by a lawyer how risks and liabilities can be regulated in contracts with service companies.
