GLOBAL ENERGY - 2005 PRIZE Awarded to Prof. Klaus Riedle
Prof. Klaus Riedle, SIEMENS Power Generation Erlangen, and member of the board of curators of the VGB Research Foundation has been laureated by the international committee awarding the GLOBAL ENERGY - 2005 PRIZE for his developments in the field of advanced gas turbines.

Prof. Klaus Riedle, SIEMENS Power Generation Erlangen, and member of the board of curators of the VGB Research Foundation has been laureated by the international committee awarding the GLOBAL ENERGY - 2005 PRIZE for his developments in the field of advanced gas turbines.
The prize, which had been put forward in 2003 by russian energy companies such as utility RAE EES Rossia, GASPROM and YUKOS, is provided with 1 Million US Dollars. The members of the awarding board, among them A. Chubais, A. Rumyantsev and M. Gorbatchov, divided the prize this year among 89 candidates between Prof. Riedle and the russian academician Prof. Alfiorov for his developments in the field of physics of semi-conductors.
