HANNOVER MESSE presents the entire spectrum of energy generation, supply, conversion and distribution - from conventional to renewable energy forms. "World Energy Dialogue" represents an international summit on the topic of energy. Key issues involve the topics of security of supply, competitiveness and energy supply sustainability.

The World Energy Dialogue is being organised jointly by the BDI (Association of German Industry) and Deutsche Messe AG, with support from the Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology (BMWI). It is being held this year to coincide with the HANNOVER MESSE, the world’s premier technology event. The World Energy Dialogue provides industry, science and politics with a unique opportunity to hold a collective debate on the opportunities and prospects for a secure, efficient, innovative, sustainable and competitive energy mix of the future. The event will for the first time provide a common platform for a wide-ranging discussion of the energy concepts of tomorrow.

VGB organized together with others the Fossil Fuel Power Plant Forum which is focused on the following issues:

    • Technological status of modern fossil fired power plants
    • Development perspectives: security of supply, efficiency, environmental compatibility
    • The national perspective: nationwide, regions, industry
    • The international perspective: EU, CSLF, VS/Japan, EOR/EGR, NICs
