Impacts on Civil Structures

The Working Panel deals with relevant safety-related structural questions of civil structures concerning impacts from outside, as e. g. earthquakes, flooding, explosions, as well as ageing management and safety cases for civil structures.

Tasks

The Working Panel (WP) deals with relevant safety-related structural questions of civil structures concerning impacts from outside, as e. g. earthquakes, flooding, explosions, as well as ageing management and safety cases for civil structures.

If necessary, the WP initiates or supports research and investigation programmes.

Further tasks:

Contribution to the work on safety standards.
Technical coordination of common response to requests by authorities and external technical expert organisations.
Monitoring the state of the art in science and technology.
