Data reconciliation is frequently discussed in connection with IT systems for optimization of technical processes in industry. Data reconciliation as set out in VDI 2048 is indeed an interesting and technically complex process with which the quality of the operational process data and the indicators based on those data can be significantly improved.

An die Instandhaltung von konventionellen Energieerzeugungsanlagen wird zunehmend die Anforderung höchster Wirtschaftlichkeit bei möglichst steigender Qualität gestellt. Mit diesem VGB-Standard sollen Empfehlungen ausgesprochen werden, die den Umfang instandhaltungsgerechter Dokumentationen für die Praxis beschreiben.

Dieser VGB-Standard dient der Erhöhung der Gebrauchstüchtigkeit (Anlagenverfügbarkeit) der Wärmeübertrager und Behälter im Wasser-/Dampfkreislauf von Wärmekraftwerken. Er besteht aus einem allgemeinen Teil für die Bestellung und aus einem technischen Teil für die Herstellung und Qualitätsüberwachung. 

Dieser VGB-Standard wurde aufgestellt, um die Auslegung von Mess- und Analyse-/ Entnahmeleitungen an die erhöhten Dampfparameter und die aktualisierten Zeitstandkennwerte anzupassen.

The objective of VGB abbreviation catalogue VGB-S891-00-2012-06-DE-EN is to regulate the systematic creation of abbreviations. This determination of abbreviations for terms related to power plants provides a common basis for the planners, erectors and operators of power plant facilities.

Lernzielkontrollen sollen grundsätzlich fester Bestandteil jeder Schulungsmaßnahme sein. Deshalb richtet sich dieser VGB-Standard an die Ausbilder/Referenten, die Lernenden und das für die Schulungsmaßnahme verantwortliche Personal.

Bei der Erstellung dieses VGB-Standards wurden neben dem deutschen Regelwerk auch internationale Empfehlungen der World Association of Nuclear Operators (WANO) und der International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) berücksichtigt.

Im Zusammenhang mit IT-Lösungen zur Optimierung technischer Prozesse in Industriebetrieben wird oftmals das Stichwort „Messdatenvalidierung“ genannt. Tatsächlich ist die Messdatenvalidierung nach VDI 2048 ein interessantes und technisch anspruchsvolles Verfahren, mit dessen Hilfe die Qualität der betrieblichen Prozessdaten sowie die Vertrauenswürdigkeit der darauf basierenden Kennzahlen deutlich verbessert werden kann.
