The aim of this VGB standard is to provide a consistent procedure for the definition, classification and processing of actions on load-bearing structures for the construc-tion of power plants. It is also intended to cover significant influences of operation-induced fluctuating states like the filling levels of tanks and the frequency and pro-cesses of filling and emptying operations.

Die ehemalige VGB Richtlinie VGB-R 170 A1 „Maßnahmen zur Vermeidung und Beherrschung von Leittechnikausfällen“ wurde seit 2005 als Unterstützung bei der Spezifikation nd Bewertung von leittechnischen Systemen hinsichtlich deren Robustheit gegen Ausfälle bei zunehmendem Einsatz von Standard IT-Komponenten und ITNetzen verwendet.

The former VGB Guideline VGB-R 170 A1e “Measures for the avoidance and handling of instrumentation and control equipment failures” was used since 2005 for the support during the specification and assessment of control and instrumentation systems with regard to their robustness against failures at increasing use of standard IT components and IT networks.

Nach Betriebssicherheitsverordnung (BetrSichV) sind Komponenten von überwachungsbedürftigen Anlagen, wie zum Beispiel Druckbehälter, Rohrleitungen oder Dampfkessel wiederkehrend auf ihren ordnungsgemäßen Zustand hinsichtlich des Betriebes zu prüfen.

Der Arbeitgeber muss die Prüffristen im Rahmen seiner Gefährdungsbeurteilung gemäß §3 BetrSichV ermitteln. Die ermittelten Prüffristen dürfen jedoch die in der BetrSichV genannten Höchstfristen nur unter bestimmten Voraussetzungen überschreiten.

This VGB Standard describes possibilities and methods for condition monitoring and performance of tests and inspections in due consideration of hazards especially arising from steam and pressure in components of steam boiler plants, pressure vessel installations and water- or steam pipework.

In diesem VGB-Standard werden Möglichkeiten und Verfahren der Zustandsüberwachung und der Prüfgestaltung unter Berücksichtigung der Gefährdungen insbesondere durch Dampf und Druck an Komponenten von Dampfkesselanlagen, Druckbehälteranlagen und Wasser oder Dampf führenden Rohrleitungen beschrieben.
